This week's spotlight is on Table Capture - a versatile browser extension that makes extracting tabular data from websites a breeze. Table Capture allows seamless data transfers into your favourite spreadsheet applications, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Once you have installed the browser extension and clicked on its icon, it will automatically suggest tables on a web page that you can export and download.Created by @GeorgeMike [https://lnkd.in/eG86bcV4], this tool is available for multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, and Firefox). The price is only $12 per year - an excellent investment for the productivity boost it offers.I love a simple tool that does one job very well, and this is a great example of that!#DataTools #BrowserExtensions #Productivity #DataManagement #GeorgeMike #TableCapture

2This quarter, some exciting changes have come to LinkedIn. Early this year, LinkedIn extended the time posts could be seen in a userโs feed. They have now taken this one step further and, with their desire (like many social platforms) to be a search engine, they will display older posts if they seem relevant to the userโs search terms. We believe adding appropriate keywords to posts, biographies, and professional headlines is now essential. LinkedIn has been experimenting with video changes and has now introduced a new scrollable โshortsโ video experience. Once again, itโs a gradual rollout, and not everyone can see this yet. This has upset a fair few users; LinkedIn has never been a fan of external links; they want to keep you on their platform as long as possible, and they have shrunk the image next to external links. If you upload more than one image,LinkedIn now creates a collage with a large key image and up to two smaller images. Previously, users had to click to see more than one image; now, you only need to click to see four or more images. Itโs more Facebook-like in its presentation, and the jury is out on whether it helps a post or not. As the rollout is gradual, we donโt know if it affects old posts. A central company page inbox now allows companies to receive and answer messages and questions from LinkedIn users directly from the company page. Finally, I was listening to a recent podcast where employee advocacy was a key topic, and the host was adamant that getting staff to share, like, and comment on posts did not count as employee advocacy. I have just finalised the course outline for our updated in-house LinkedIn training product and decided to expand the section on employee advocacy. What do you think counts as employee advocacy? How do you engage with your team to turn them into company evangelists? #ProfessionalDevelopment #ContentStrategy #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #TeamEngagement #BrandBuilding

๐ฐ๐ผ)We love Site Guru, a really easy-to-use (and budget-friendly) Search Engine monitoring and analysis tool developed for marketing teams. While we still lean towards SEM Rush for in-depth analysis, Site Guru offers a concise overview that is perfect for streamlined collaboration within marketing teams. It's also captured a few issues on clients' websites that other tools missed!Site Guru's integration with Google Search Console also enables more efficient and effective monitoring of your website's performance metrics. However, what truly sets Site Guru apart is its new 'Google Update Report' feature, a practical tool for tracking traffic changes after a Google core algorithm update.SiteGuru also provides a comprehensive reporting tool suite that effectively highlights SEO issues and opportunities. While the reports within SiteGuru offer valuable insights and actionable recommendations, we still like to create custom Looker Studio dashboards for a holistic view of all marketing activities (without wishing to blow our own trumpet, we have just launched a Looker Studio add-on, please let me or Beatrice Aragone know if you would like to learn more). Nonetheless, the reporting capabilities within SiteGuru serve as a robust component of our SEO strategy. It's being developed in the Netherlands (one of my favourite European countries, with many happy windsurfing and sailing memories) by Rick van Haasteren, and its clear UX makes it a pleasure to use.In summary, Site Guru is a valuable tool for marketing teams needing quick, digestible data. It's definitely worth checking out for its user-friendly interface and powerful features, and unlike many of these systems, it is actually a joy to use!#DigitalMarketing #SEOTools #MarketingTech #SiteGuru #SEMRush #GoogleSearchConsoleFeel free to share your thoughts or experiences with these tools!

In the marketing world, adapting and innovating is key to staying competitive. We believe traditional annual planning cycles are too slow to keep pace with a fast-moving marketplace and the ever-evolving world of Marketing. Herein lies the appeal of 12-week planning cycles for marketing teams. It was under the insightful guidance of Luke Davies that our team (me, Louisa Scott and Chris Youd) became acquainted with the transformative potential of the 12-week plan. His mentorship (back in 2016) on our path to becoming Sandler practitioners marked a pivotal shift in our mindset. We have since adapted Lukeโs concept into our marketing initiatives, tailoring it to suit our internal strategies and the campaigns we develop for our clients. This quarter-of-a-year approach allows for a concentrated and achievable scope of work, sidestepping the potential pitfalls of ambition that can lead to disengagement, which is often the case with year-long projections. A 12-week planning cycle provides time for strategy and executing marketing initiatives. This quarter-of-a-year approach also allows for a focused and intensive period of activity that is not overly ambitious, reducing the risk of setting unachievable goals and preventing the inevitable tailing off of interest and commitment that often accompanies annual plans.Factoring in time for holiday seasons, we can generally run four of these 12-week cycles a year.. Each 12-week plan then builds upon the previous one, as we analyse, tweak, refine and repeat. Teams can define clear, actionable goals with specific outcomes that can realistically be achieved within three months. This time frame encourages teams to focus on the most critical initiatives to drive significant impact rather than spreading resources too thinly over a broad range of objectives. Shorter cycles enable teams to quickly assess the effectiveness of strategies and tactics, making iterative improvements or pivots as needed. How are you structuring your marketing plans? Have you experimented with shorter planning cycles? Share your experiences below, and feel free to connect if you want to chat more about this or other marketing strategies!#MarketingStrategy #TwelveWeekPlan #AgileMarketing #MarketingInnovation #StrategyExecution
