updated

As with the previous Like a Dragon game, Infinite Wealth allows each job to equip different and unique weapons. Most weapons, once bought or found, can be upgraded and enhanced at any Julie's Gearworks location. Upgrading weapons costs a lot of money and crafting materials, but it is generally recommended as it can give the weapon new properties, raise its star level (up to 7 stars for some of the game's best weapons) and make it deal more damage.

This guide will cover the best weapon for each job and how to find them. It will also cover the Ultimate Weapons, which are far and away superior to pretty much anything else in the game, but need to be crafted using expensive materials and thus likely cannot be obtained until late in the game.

The Freelancer and Dragon of Dojima jobs do not have a best weapon, because they have Kasuga and Kiryu respectively fight bare-handed. Sujimancer is also not included because it uses Kasuga's captured Sujimon as weapons.

Hero (Ichiban Kasuga)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Dragon Soul Bat

The Dragon Soul Bat has an attack of 138 and a magic attack of 129. It is obtained at the end of Substory 42: Atop the Plateau after fully conquering the Sujimon League and defeating the champion King.

Ultimate Weapon - True Legendary Hero's Bat & Ultimate Egesta

The True Legendary Hero's Bat is upgraded from the Hero's Bat, which Kasuga automatically obtains during the story. It requires 15 Electric Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It deals bonus Electric damage to downed enemies.

The Ultimate Egesta is upgraded from the Metal Bat, purchasable at Panthera Sports Kingdom in Hawaii. It requires 100 Ethereal Egesta, which are found by looking in toilets throughout the game's world.

Cabbie (Eric Tomizawa)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Pipe Wrench & Corner Pipe Wrench

These wrenches are great because they have solid stats immediately upon purchase, no upgrading required (although you are certainly welcome to do so!) Both can be bought at the Wink Mini Mart. The Pipe Wrench has an attack and magic attack of 112, while the Corner Pipe Wrench increases that to 157.

Ultimate Weapon - Full-Drive Custom Wrench

The base version of this wrench is obtained by completing all five of Tomizawa's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Electric Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It deals electric damage and can potentially paralyze enemies.

Heiress (Chitose Fujinomiya)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Punk Choker & Satin Choker

advertisem*nt

The Punk Choker is a perfect early-game weapon because it is easy to unlock - all you have to do is make 25 friends using the Aloha Links app. It will carry you through most of the game, but you can later purchase the Satin Choker at the shop Vicenti. The Satin Choker can then be upgraded to the Vermilion Bird Choker at Julie's Gearworks. The Punk Choker has ATK+45 MAG+40, while the Satin Choker has an attack of 162 and a magic stat of 152.

Ultimate Weapon - Royal Prima Choker

The base version of this choker is obtained by completing all five of Chitose's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It deals extra damage against debuffed enemies.

Detective (Koichi Adachi)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Chromium Alloy Club

This enormously powerful club is the reward for completing the second sector of the Hawaiian Haunt dungeon. It has an attack of 120 and a magic stat of 111, and may decrease the enemy's Attack stat when any skill is used. Grapple attacks performed while wielding this club also have a higher chance of being critical.

Ultimate Weapon - Beacon of Maitreya

The base version of this club is obtained by completing all five of Adachi's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It deals damage to the enemy whenever you successfully execute a Perfect Guard.

Homeless Guy (Nanba)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Sacred Branch / Intoxicane

The standard Sacred Branch is a solid weapon on its own, boasting an attack of 104 and a magic stat of 120. It can be purchased at Welcome Pharmacy. Then, if upgraded at Julie's Gearworks, it becomes the even more powerful Intoxicane, which deals greater damage when Nanba is drunk - a state he often finds himself in.

Ultimate Weapon - Scepter of Oblivion

advertisem*nt

The base version of this cane is obtained by completing all five of Nanba's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Lava Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It boosts magic damage and can lower the fire resistance of all enemies on the field.

Assassin (Seonhee)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Bolt Needles / Thunderbolt Needles

The relatively affordable Bolt Needles can be purchased at Zhou Long Distribution. They have an attack of 86 and a magic stat of 74. When upgraded to the Thunderbolt Needles, they can lower an enemy's electric resistance, which synergizes well with the Assassin's many electricity-based skills.

Ultimate Weapon - Valkyrie Needles

The base version of this needle is obtained by completing all five of Seonhee's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It has the potential to charm enemies or inflict them with a cold.

Barmaid (Saeko Mukoda)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Boom Bag

The Barmaid job is somewhat unique in that one of its best weapons is also one of the first you can obtain. The Boom Bag is the reward for completing the Yokohama Bar District photo rally. It has an attack and magic stat of 88 and deals Electricity-attribute damage. Especially if you regularly upgrade this bag, it can last you for most of the game!

Ultimate Weapon - Illuminati Bag

The base version of this bag is obtained by completing all five of Saeko Mukoda's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It boosts all damage done by skills, but at the cost of increasing the MP needed for each skill.

Gangster (Tianyou Zhao)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Bewitching Snake Blade

Simply complete the first sector of the Yokohama Underground dungeon once to earn the Bewitching Snake Blade. It has a solid attack of 94 with a magic attack of 81. Each attack made with this blade has a chance to both poison the enemy and lower their agility, causing them to take fewer turns in battle.

Ultimate Weapon - Treasured Sword of Heaven and Earth

The base version of this saber is obtained by completing all five of Tianyou Zhao's Drink Links. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. All attacks made with this saber ignore enemy resistances.

Hitman (Joongi Han)

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Shark Tooth Knuckles / Megalodon Knuckles

The Shark Tooth Knuckles on their own are no slouch - they have an attack of 91 and a magic stat of 84, and can be purchased fairly early in the game at the Bullet Hell armory. However, they truly shine when upgraded at Julie's Gearworks, because the resulting Megalodon Knuckles increase critical hit damage.

Ultimate Weapon - Annihilation Claws

The base version of these knuckles are obtained by completing all five of Joongi Han's Drink Links. They can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. They boost damage depending on the number of ailments an enemy is suffering.

Action Star

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Dynamic Nunchaku

advertisem*nt

These nunchaku are great because they can be purchased via Sujimon Points, obtained via fighting Sujimon Trainers. They have a solid attack of 94 and magic of 81, deal Fire-attribute damage, and can lower the enemy's Willpower when attacking.

Ultimate Weapon - Nightstone Nunchaku

The base version of these nunchucks is obtained by beating the boss, Championship Wrecker, near the Crystal Aloha Resort in Hawaii. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It greatly strengthens all physical attacks, but in turn, the wielder receives more damage from enemies.

Aquanaut

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Shark Board / Professional Board

The Shark Board, bought at Grayson's Weapons at Sea, is a great early-game weapon because it is not particularly expensive but has very good stats (ATK of 87, MAG of 81) and can inflict the powerful bleed status effect on enemies. Later in the game, you can head to No Surf No Life to buy the Professional Board, which has amazing base stats - attack of 162 and magic of 152.

Ultimate Weapon - Ocean King's Board

The base version of this board is obtained by beating the boss, Jaws of Death, near the east end of Aloha Beach. It can be upgraded with 15 Ice Crystals, one Empty Cough Drop Tin, and one Shark Fin. It lowers the enemy's ice resistance and boosts physical attack damage when the wielder is at max HP.

Desperado

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Aqua Shooter

The Aqua Shooter, bought at Grayson's Weapons at Sea, synergizes amazingly with the Desperado job because it does additional Water elemental damage, boosting the many Water skills the job already has. It can even cause enemies to catch a cold once they are shot!

Ultimate Weapon - Seventh Wolf

advertisem*nt

The base version of this gun can be obtained either by beating the boss, Death Sentencer, near Little Japan's ABC Store or earning 21,000 Shogi Points and purchasing it at the Shogi Exchange. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacles. It boosts the wielder's critical hit rate when attacking an enemy suffering from an ailment.

Geodancer

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Fluffy Maracas / Electrip Maracas

In the early game, it's very easy to get the Fluffy Maracas - they're a reward for completing the Downtown / Chinatown Photo Rally. They have an attack of 44 and magic of 54 and restore HP to the user when attacking. Later, you should consider buying Trippy Maracas at Hau'oli Hula and upgrading them to Electrip Maracas at Julie's Gearworks. They have an Electric element and the chance to paralyze an enemy.

Ultimate Weapon - Paradise Maracas

The base version of these maracas can be obtained by beating the boss, Dancing Madman, near Hip Hop Shrimp at the corner of Kaku Ave in Hawaii. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Shark Fin. It can grant a Magic buff at the start of the wielder's turn, and also heals the wielder when they receive a buff.

Housekeeper

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Powerful Bubble Mop

Unlike many other jobs, the Housekeeper's best weapons are all acquired fairly late in the game. Purchasing the Powerful Bubble Mop requires earning 100,000 points at the Can minigame, which is only accessible once you control Kiryu and return to Japan. It's worth it, though - this mop has an attack of 103 and magic of 111 and can poison enemies while attacking.

Ultimate Weapon - Mop of Madonna

The base version of this mop can be obtained by beating the boss, Dark Sweeper, underneath Carriage Highway in Isezaki Ijincho. It can be upgraded with 15 Ice Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin and 1 Shark Fin. It boosts damage when attacking an enemy weakness.

Kunoichi

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Shark Tooth Short Sword / Megalodon Knife

Available for only $5000 at Ganryujima Armory, the Shark Tooth Short Sword is a solid pick for the Kunoichi with an attack and magic of 73. At Julie's Gearworks, you can upgrade it to the Megalodon Knife, which boosts its stats to 92 and increases the wielder's critical hit damage.

Ultimate Weapon - Cursed Dagger of Glorious Death

The base version of this dagger can be obtained by beating the boss, King of Thieves, located near Can Quest in Isezaki Ijincho. Alternately, you can buy it for 70,000 points at the Sujimon Stadium. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It buffs the wielder's Agility whenever an enemy is defeated.

Pyrodancer

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Greataxe / Phantom Greataxe

You can purchase the base Greataxe at the Hau'oli Hula Shop. It has solid stats as-is, with an attack of 116 and a magic of 108. However, it gets even better if you go to Julie's Gearworks and convert it into the Phantom Greataxe. This powerful weapon has an attack of 138, a magic stat of 129, and may blind the enemy when attacking.

Ultimate Weapon - Dead Souls Axe

The base version of this axe can be obtained by beating the boss, Pleatherface, in the Art Walls section of Hawaii's Cultural District. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Shark Fin. It buffs the wielder's Attack whenever an enemy is defeated.

Samurai

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Ephemeral Longsword / Yusaku's Katana / Moonflower

Early in the game, you should use the Ephemeral Longsword, which is unlocked by adding 50 friends on the Aloha Links app. It has decent stats and can blind the enemy. However, once you have the money, purchase Yusaku's Katana from Ganryujima Armory or Reef Riders and upgrade it to Moonflower, which has an unbeatable attack of 184 and magic stat of 162. It may also buff a random stat when attacking.

Ultimate Weapon - Enchanted Demon Slayer

The base version of this sword can be obtained by beating the boss, Forsaken Samurai, on the skybridge near Hamakita Park in Isezaki Ijincho. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It increases the duration of status effects on enemies.

Breaker

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Wild Enthusiasm Anklet

This anklet is great because it can be obtained by earning 10,000 points at the Golf minigame, which is pretty doable. It is one of the few pure Fire-element weapons in the game, and can burn enemies when attacking. It has an attack and magic of 107.

Ultimate Weapon - Master Soul Anklet

The base version of this anklet can be obtained by beating the boss, Abstracted Defiance, near the casino on Downtown Street in Hawaii. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. The wielder recovers MP whenever they receive a buff.

Chef

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Happy Spatula / Pancake Maker

The Chef's best weapons have powerful support effects that help keep the wielder alive and in the game. The Happy Spatula (ATK+107, MAG+107,) found by rescuing NPCs in Sector 2 of the Yokohama Dungeon, decreases the MP cost of skills. The Pancake Maker (ATK+129, MAG+129,) earned by completing the Uptown photo rally in Yokohama, has a Fire element and restores HP to the wielder.

Ultimate Weapon - Chef de Cuisine's Spoon

advertisem*nt

The base version of this spoon can be obtained by beating the boss, Ironclad Chef, in the southern part of Chinatown in Isezaki Ijincho. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It boosts skill damage, but increases the MP cost of skills in exchange.

Host

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Xiang Bin Jiu / Celestial Xiang Bin Jiu

You can buy the base Xiang Bin Ju at Yun's Foods. It has an attack of 104 and a magic stat of 120, which is solid on its own. However, it really shines when upgraded into the Celestial Xiang Bin Jiu, (ATK+125, MAG+143) which restores health to the wielder each time an attack or skill is used.

Ultimate Weapon - Prince of Star Night

The base version of this bottle can be obtained by beating the boss, Heavenly Host, in the alley behind Kasuga's apartment in Japan. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It buffs the wielder's Magic when an enemy is defeated.

Idol

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Bastard Soda

The fragile Idol definitely benefits from the HP recovery effect of the Bastard Soda, which can be bought for 5000 points at the batting cages in Japan. It has an attack of 138 and a magic stat of 147, and also possesses the Water element. The Idol isn't primarily a damage-dealing class, so the best weapons for Idols should focus on healing and support.

Ultimate Weapon - Photon Symphony Microphone

The base version of this microphone can be obtained by beating the boss, Angel of Megadeath, near Theater Square in Kamurocho. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It has a chance of buffing the wielder's Magic at the start of each turn.

Night Queen

Best Non-Ultimate Weapon - Electric Whip / Whip of Desire

The Night Queen should start out with the Electric Whip, which is earned by completing the Cultural District / Harbor Park Photo Rally in Hawaii. This whip has an attack of 94, a magic of 81, and can paralyze enemies. Later, you can purchase the Whip of Disappointment at Love Magic and upgrade it to the Whip of Desire at Julie's Gearworks. This whip has an attack of 143, a magic attack of 125, and may charm enemies.

Ultimate Weapon - Ulysses Butterfly Whip

The base version of this whip can be obtained by beating the boss, Creeper Peeper and p*rnogra-Pharaoh, near Ohama Street in Isezaki Ijincho. It can be upgraded with 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It buffs the wielder's critical rate when an enemy is defeated, and also has a high chance of instantly KO-ing low HP enemies.

Linebacker

Because the Linebacker is a DLC job, it has much fewer weapons available. Any weapon you can get for this job will generally be good.

Ultimate Weapon - Fumble Force Band

The base version of this band can be exchanged for 3,000 Data Disks at the Hawaiian Haunt Dungeon. It can be upgraded for 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It damages the enemy whenever the wielder executes a Perfect Guard.

Tennis Ace

Because the Tennis Ace is a DLC job, it has much fewer weapons available. Any weapon you can get for this job will generally be good.

Ultimate Weapon - Indomitable Venus

advertisem*nt

The base version of this band can be exchanged for 3,000 Geomijul's Survey Data at the Yokohama Dungeon. It can be upgraded for 15 Rainbow Crystals, 1 Empty Cough Drop Tin, and 1 Squid Tentacle. It boosts critical hit rate when there are more enemies on the field.
